The shape of this school is inspired by the image of Mind and Heart. The “Mind” element emphasizes academic rigor, exploration, and intellectual curiosity. It values the importance of cultivating critical thinking skills, a love for learning, and the confidence to innovate and solve problems while the “Heart” aspect emphasizes social-emotional learning, kindness, and ethical awareness. Education cannot neglect either element, as true learning requires both intellectual growth and emotional depth, enabling students to think critically and act compassionately.

Balancing the “Mind” and “Heart” for Inspired Learning

MASTER PLAN 1.500
This school project consists of two car parks, an assembly hall, a sports oval, and two buildings for Grades 7–9 and 10–12. It also includes a small commercial strip to strengthen the civic and commercial character of the site.
GROUND FLOOR
Each classroom has its own distinct shape and view, creating a new sense of discovery as students move between spaces. The entrance, with its playful tilted blades, feels welcoming and dynamic, drawing students in through a gradually narrowing pathway that opens into a spacious, vibrant courtyard.
FIRST FLOOR
Throughout the day, shading louvers cast changing patterns of light and shadow, making the school environment more interesting. The blend of indoor and outdoor spaces further enhances the balance between study and play, with indoor areas dedicated to focused learning (Mind) and outdoor spaces fostering social connections and relaxation (Heart). This design transforms school into an inspiring, interesting place where students can discover and study.

By fostering an atmosphere of openness and engagement, the school becomes a place where students are not only educated but also inspired to connect, collaborate, and grow.
SOUTH ELEVATION

The façade design has an organic language that makes the school feel more inspiring and interesting to arrive at.
EAST ELEVATION

In contrast to the red brick, planting is used to balance the colour and make the building feel softer and more welcoming.

MULTI-PURPOSE ASSEMBY HALL
The school also includes an assembly hall that acts as a shared gathering space for events, performances, and community activities, helping connect students across different year levels.
